How long will it take Google to index my website?

What are Meta Descriptions?

Simply put, the robots.txt file is a simple text file placed on your web server which tells web crawlers like Google’s Googlebot if they should access a file or not. As well, improper usage of the robots.txt file can hurt your ranking, so please make sure that this is implemented correctly on your website.

What is a Sitemap.xml file?

This a special file within your website that lists the URLs for each page. It allows webmasters to include additional information about each URL such as when it was last updated, how often it changes, and how important it is in relation to other URLs in the site. This enables search engines to discover and catalog the site more logically and efficiently.

Why do I need ALT text/tags on my images?

Whenever you have an image within your website content, the alt tag will describe what’s going on in the image. This functionality is intended for screen viewers that are blind or visually impaired, so their browser can read out the alt tag descriptor. It is very important to include ALT text and tags on images, to be mindful and respectful towards any member of your audience. It also helps boost your SEO rankings! It’s a win-win scenario.

Do SEO trends and practices change frequently?
